Museum of Medicine

Museum of Medicine

The philosophy of the Museum of Medicine is based on a broader understanding of the relationship between humans and Medicine. Its collections include hundreds of items such as historical medical books, medical instruments, pharmaceutical utensils, photographs, and more. The main thematic axes developed in the Museum's spaces and multifaceted activities are as follows:
a) Places of healing and the highlighting of their tangible and intangible characteristics (places & people), b) The human body, senses, and brain, c) Medical tools – technology, d) From herbs to medicines, e) Medicine & Literature – Arts. The educational programs draw their content from the above axes and, along with events for the general public, constitute the primary outreach arm of the Museum.
